Use : |
In the cleaning of silicate and oxides on metallic surface; or in the cleaning of aluminum and alloy before plating. 2.5% solution is used in the electrolytic polishing of pure aluminum. |
Toxicity and protection : |
Highly corrosive to skin and mucous membrane; irritating to eyes and respiratory system. Max. concentration allowed is 2.5mg/m3. If contact eyes or body, wash eyes with clean water, and soap for body. If serious, go to the hospital. Respirator, rubber gloves and working clothes should be worn in operation.

Packing and storage : |
In polyvinyl drum, net wt. 0.5KG, 25KG or 250KG/drum. It belong to Class II inorganic acide corrosives. IMDG NO.: 93010. Should be stored in cool and airy place. Closed tight, avoid rain and sunlight. Handle it with care, avoid impact or damage to the containers.

Properties |
Colorless transparent liquid, strong acid. Only exists with water. Industrial product is 42-48% water solution; relative density of 42% water solution is 1.32; relative density of 48% water solution is 1.37. It is stable in thick solution, and will be decomposed when heated to 130; Soluble in water and alcohols. It is highly corrosive and toxic! |
